What is a Log amp?
A logarithmic amplifier is an amplifier that logarithmically transforms an input signal and outputs it. Also called a logarithmic amp. Since it has the effect of compressing the input signal and outputting it, it is used when handling signals with a wide input range. Since frequency characteristics and temperature characteristics differ depending on the configuration of the log amp, it is necessary to select an appropriate configuration according to the application. An amplifier that restores a signal compressed by a log amp is called an antilog amp (anti-logarithmic amp).
