What is a Pink noise?

Pink noise is noise whose power density is inversely proportional to frequency. It is called pink noise because light with the same frequency component appears pink. It is characterized by the sound of "za" like the sound of heavy rain or waterfalls. Pink noise has constant energy per octave band and is used as a signal source for various acoustic measurements.
