Piezo actuator / List of 7 manufacturers
What is a Piezo actuator?
Piezoelectric Actuator is a device that uses the piezoelectric effect to generate physical movement. The piezoelectric effect is a phenomenon in which certain materials generate electric charge when subjected to pressure or stress. This effect is reversed in actuators, where an applied voltage causes the material to deform slightly, producing movement. Piezoelectric actuators are known for their high precision, capable of achieving movements on the scale of nanometers, making them suitable for systems requiring very precise control. They are commonly used in optical devices, medical equipment, and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems).
Application of Piezo actuator
1.Ultrasonic transducers: Used in medical and inspection devices for generating ultrasound.
2.Precision positioning systems: For precise position control in optical and research instruments.
3.Precision pressure sensors: Devices that detect small pressure changes.
4.Inkjet printer heads: Actuators used to eject ink with high precision.
5.Autofocus systems: Used in cameras and microscopes for automatic focus adjustment.
