What is a Multiplexer?
A multiplexer (MUX) is an electronic circuit or IC that selects one signal from multiple input signals and routes it to a single output. This allows for the efficient transmission of multiple signals over a single transmission line, improving data transfer efficiency. The multiplexer uses control signals to determine which input signal will be passed to the output. For example, a 2:1 multiplexer switches between two input signals and outputs one, while a 4:1 multiplexer selects one signal from four inputs. Application of Multiplexer
