What is a Capture card?

A capture card is a device for capturing video and audio from AV equipment such as TVs, DVD players, and game consoles. By connecting an AV device to a computer, you can import the video and audio being played back on the AV device to the computer. The captured video and audio are saved on the hard disk of the computer and can be used for purposes such as editing and distribution.
