What is a Brush motor?

A brush motor is a motor that has a sliding contact called a brush to pass current to the rotating shaft. Wound-type AC motors also use brushes, but brush motors generally refer to DC brush motors. It features a simple structure, low cost, and easy torque control. However, regular maintenance is required as the brushes wear out due to rotation. It has the disadvantage of generating noise during operation.
