Shaft motor / List of 5 manufacturers
What is a Shaft motor?
A shaft motor is one of the linear servo motors that perform linear motion by electricity. Ball screws are the first means of obtaining linear motion by electricity. Compared to ball screws, shaft motors have the advantage of ensuring high positional accuracy, high-speed operation, high quietness, and the ability to control multiple moving elements on a single axis through multi-drive. In addition, the coreless structure is a major difference compared to flat-type linear motors, which perform the same linear motion as shaft motors. Shaft motors do not generate unevenness in motion called cogging, which is a drawback of linear motors that use iron cores.
