Programmable controller / List of 15 manufacturers
What is a Programmable controller?
A programmable controller is a control device that has a built-in microprocessor. A programmable controller can be used as a program to replace the wiring that outputs the inputs of sensors, switches, timers, etc. in a normal electric circuit to a motor or display. Since the number of mechanical contacts can be reduced, it is possible to control electronic devices without the need for wear or failure of contacts between electronic components or troublesome wiring. In addition, since the electric circuit can be simplified, the area of the board can be reduced and mass production can be facilitated.
Application of Programmable controller
Programmable controllers are used in a wide range of fields such as factory automation systems, automobiles, home appliances, and industrial equipment. There are two types of programmable controllers: a package type that contains all the electronic components required for operation, and a building type that allows you to select each internal component yourself. It is necessary to select the memory, processor, output / input terminal specifications, etc. according to the electronic device to be used.
