What is a DNC system?
The DNC system (Direct Numeric Control System) is a system that directly numerically controls various NC machine tools online. When numerically controlling an NC machine tool (which almost refers to a CNC machine tool), numerical data was exchanged via a floppy disk (FD) or USB. With the DNC system, the NC machine tool can be operated directly from the computer without using FD or USB by network connection. By building an online environment using LAN, you can centrally operate and manage multiple NC machine tools.
Application of DNC system
The purpose of the DNC system is to operate multiple NC machine tools from a computer or to exchange information between the computer and NC machine tools by connecting various NC machine tools and networks. With the introduction of the DNC system, it is possible to exchange large volumes of data, which was not possible with conventional CNC machine tools, and to perform long-term scheduled operation and unmanned operation. Not only can information be transferred from a computer to an NC machine tool, but it is also possible to acquire various data from an NC machine tool and transfer it to a computer.
