What is a Color sorter?
A color sorter is a machine that sorts and removes non-defective, defective, and foreign substances from harvested crops using a CCD camera, NIR (Near InfraRed), and camera chute (slide). In addition to good products that are suitable for eating, the harvested crops contain defective products that have been discolored due to various causes, pebbles, and glass fragments. Due to the large amount of crop grains, it is unrealistic to sort by human eyes to remove defective products and foreign substances. If you use a color sorter, you can use an ejector such as an air injection nozzle to sort out only defective products and foreign substances detected by the CCD camera. Debugging tools have a variety of features that help software developers find bugs.
Application of Color sorter
The harvested brown rice contains a mixture of good, defective and foreign substances. Defective products include moldy rice, and foreign substances such as pebbles and glass pieces that should not be put in the mouth are dangerous. Defective products are partially different in color from good products. Defective products can be detected by the CCD camera of the color sorter and removed by injecting air from the ejector. Some foreign substances, such as pieces of glass, look like good products. Some color sorters are also equipped with a NIR camera that uses near-infrared rays to identify non-defective products and glass fragments, and can also remove glass fragments. In addition to rice, there are also color sorters for wheat, barley, soybeans, etc.
