What is a Small NC lathe?
A small NC lathe is a machining device that enables cutting by automatic control by attaching a computer control device to a general-purpose (ordinary) lathe. NC of a small NC lathe is an abbreviation of Numerical Control, which means that lathe machining is performed by computer control. Tool change is also performed automatically by installing an ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) device or selecting it as an option.
Application of Small NC lathe
Small NC lathes, also called unmanned lathes, are used to machine objects of the same shape, such as parts that are needed in large quantities. It is mainly used for bar-shaped processing (bar work) and raw material processing (chuck work).
