What is a Turning center?
A turning center is an NC machine tool that combines NC lathes. It is equipped with many functions that lathes do not have, such as rotary tools and ATC (automatic tool changer), and enables milling and eccentric drilling. In general, the only machining that can be done with NC lathes is turning and simple center drilling. Therefore, when milling is required, it is necessary to remove the workpiece and fix it to the milling machine each time. Since this is not the case at turning centers, work efficiency and productivity can be expected to improve.
