What is a UV LED?
An ultraviolet (UV) LED is a type of light-emitting diode that emits light in the ultraviolet range (200–400 nanometers). Like traditional LEDs, UV LEDs generate light using semiconductors. These LEDs are particularly used in applications such as sterilization, inspection, curing, and analysis. UV LEDs are employed in medical devices, the food industry, and printing applications, among others. They are also seen as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional mercury lamps.
Application of UV LED

Example 3: Water Treatment UV LEDs are also used in water treatment applications, such as disinfecting drinking water or pool water. They are more compact and energy-efficient compared to traditional mercury lamps.
