Light bulb filament / List of 3 manufacturers
What is a Light bulb filament?
The filament in a light bulb is a thin wire made of metal, typically tungsten, that generates light when electricity flows through it. As current passes through the filament, it heats up to a very high temperature, causing it to glow and emit light. This process, known as incandescence, occurs because the metal reaches a point where it can radiate visible light. Filament bulbs, or incandescent bulbs, have been widely used in the past, but due to energy efficiency concerns and longer lifespan requirements, LED and fluorescent lights have become more common, leading to a decline in the use of incandescent bulbs.
Application of Light bulb filament
✅ Classic Incandescent Bulb
In traditional incandescent bulbs, a tungsten filament is used to produce light. When electricity flows through the filament, it heats up and emits light. An example would be a typical 60W or 100W household light bulb.
✅ Low Voltage Decorative Bulb
In decorative lighting, such as chandeliers or mood lamps, low-voltage incandescent bulbs are used. These bulbs contain a filament and are designed to produce a warm, aesthetic glow, adding ambiance to a room.
