What is a Torque meter / Torque gauge?
A torque meter is a device called torque that measures the force applied to the shaft in the direction of rotation. The elastic force of the spring and the sensor can be used to calculate the force in the direction of rotation as a numerical value. The analog type can display the numerical value by itself, but the digital type requires a numerical display and a power supply to operate. There are two types of torque, static torque and dynamic torque, and it is necessary to decide in advance which one should be measured depending on the purpose of measurement. In recent years, both types that can be measured have become widespread.
Application of Torque meter / Torque gauge
The torque meter is used to apply a rotational force to the shaft and measure the force in the direction of rotation numerically. It is used to measure and manage the tightening force of screws, the torque to open and close the stopper of the container cap, and the torsional rigidity of structural members such as shafts and beams as actual values. In recent years, not only torque but also strain and shaft rotation speed can be measured at the same time. Measuring and managing torque is a very important factor not only to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment, but also to ensure its life and safety in the event of a failure.
