What is a Digital tachometer?
A digital tachometer is a device that reads and digitally displays the number of revolutions of an engine, motor, etc. in industrial equipment. As a familiar example, the tachometer installed in an automobile measures the engine speed. In the case of industrial equipment, the measurement method of the digital tachometer is mainly contact type or non-contact type, and it is selected according to the application. The non-contact type is often selected when the measuring equipment is rotating at high speed, high temperature, or high heat. In addition, some digital tachometers measure the number of revolutions of measuring equipment and some measure the rotation speed.
Application of Digital tachometer
I think the number one use for digital tachometers is in automobiles. The use of digital tachometers in automobiles was used in the case of MT cars to shift up without exceeding the engine speed limit. In recent years, the majority of AT cars have become used to check the condition of cars and drive with good fuel efficiency. In the case of industrial equipment, the number of rotations of the measuring equipment is measured and used for equipment control, adjustment, service, maintenance, etc.
