What is a Digital timer?
A digital timer is one of the relay devices built into a circuit for the purpose of switching the on / off of the contacts of an electric circuit at the timing when an arbitrarily set time has elapsed. There are two types of digital timers: analog timers and digital timers. Compared to analog timers that are manually set using dial scales, digital timers that set numerical values allow finer settings. Therefore, the control accuracy is high, but the setting method is a little complicated compared to the analog timer. Applications and types of digital timers The digital timer incorporates a circuit that turns the signal off after a set time. In other words, by introducing a digital timer to a device that you want to operate for a certain period of time, it is possible to stop the movement of that device at any time.
Application of Digital timer
Operate the device only for a certain period of time By connecting a digital timer to a heating device or agitating device, it is possible to realize operations such as heating and stirring the sample for a certain period of time. It is also installed in push-button traffic lights as a familiar device. Operate the device after a certain period of time By changing the circuit settings, it is possible to operate the device after a certain period of time. The reverse circuit is set and used for equipment such as precision measuring equipment that wants to move after sufficiently suppressing the drift of the sample. In this way, digital timers are often used to start and stop equipment after a certain period of time, and there are several types depending on the field of use.
