What is a Flow meter?
As the name implies, a flow meter is a device that displays the flow rate of liquids and gases. Structurally, there is a float inside the cylinder, and when liquid or gas enters from the inlet, the float moves up and down to display the flow rate. Although the structure is simple, there are a wide variety of flow meters depending on the material and application, so some can be attached to gas cylinders to easily see the flow rate, while others can be attached to a needle valve to precisely control the flow rate. It is used in many industries because it can handle small to large flow rates by changing the internal float.
Application of Flow meter
Flow meters are widely used in industry. For example, managing the amount of cooling water in a water-cooled blower and the amount of cooling water in a heat exchanger. Since these do not require precise control, structurally simple ones are used. In addition, argon gas and helium gas are always used for TIG welding, but they are also used to control the amount of gas at that time. In this case, attach it directly to the gas cylinder outlet to control the gas flow rate. In addition, it is also used to control the flow rate of nitrogen gas when cleaning (purging) pipes with semiconductors. In this case, precise flow control is required, so a needle valve and alarm set are used. Purchasing such a type is very convenient because it eliminates the need to install a valve as a retrofit.
