What is a Haze meter?

A haze meter is a device used to measure "haze" (cloudiness) in transparent or semi-transparent materials. Haze indicates the degree of light scattering that occurs as light passes through a material, affecting its visual transparency. Light scattering can result from minor surface defects or internal non-uniformities, reducing visibility. A haze meter works by measuring the scattered light and transmitted light after passing through a sample and calculates the haze percentage (%) as a numerical value.
