What is a Water level gauge?
A water level meter is a device for measuring distance from the surface of water and fluctuations in water level. Generally, it is installed in the liquid and has a sensor that detects the position of the liquid level. Water level gauges are used in a variety of applications and play an important role in flood prediction, water resource management, ship navigation safety, and industrial process control.
Application of Water level gauge
Typical types of water level gauges include float type, pressure type, and ultrasonic type. A float-type water level gauge uses a float that moves up and down in response to changes in the water surface, and a device linked to it measures the water level. A pressure-type water level gauge uses a sensor to detect changes in water pressure and converts them into water level. Ultrasonic water level gauges measure water level using the reflection time of sound waves.
