What is a Load cell?
A load meter is a measuring instrument that converts physical quantities of load and force into electrical signals and extracts them as numerical values. Strain gauges are mainly used for load and force detection elements. The type of strain gauge can be adjusted according to the material, capacity, and shape. By calibrating the output change of the strain gauge with respect to the load and force with a highly accurate sensor that applies the load under the same conditions, it becomes a highly reliable measuring instrument. Suitable for measurement of static and dynamic therapy. It can be divided into tension / compression type, tension type, and compression type.
Application of Load cell
Due to its small size, it is used in industrial fields such as control units and production lines. A 6-axis force sensor that can measure moments around 3 axes in addition to loads and forces in 3 directions is used in force control robots that enable advanced work. It is used in material fatigue testing machines because it can measure load and displacement parameters. It is used to measure the force applied to PC steel rods and PC steel wires such as lock anchors and earth anchors. It is used for suspension load measurement to measure the weight lifted by a crane.
