What is a Steam flow meter?
A steam flow meter is a device that measures the flow rate of steam flowing through pipes and pipes. Assuming methods include an ultrasonic method that measures the flow rate of steam by using ultrasonic waves and calculating the phase difference, and an eddy generator installed in the pipe to determine the cycle and magnitude of the vortex generation. A typical vortex type that measures the flow rate of steam by measuring. Since the ultrasonic type can measure from outside the pipe, it does not give pressure loss to the steam flowing through the pipe and can measure even when the flow rate is small, so many ultrasonic type steam flow meters are on the market.
Application of Steam flow meter
Steam flow meters are used in food factories, iron factories, power plants and power generation facilities that use steam turbines. When selecting a steam flow meter, it is necessary to consider the measurement accuracy of the flow rate, the measurement range of the flow rate, and whether pressure loss will occur in the piping. An example of using the steam flow meter is shown below.
