Ultrasonic level meter / List of 10 manufacturers
What is a Ultrasonic level meter?
The ultrasonic level meter is attached to the top of the tank and measures the height of the liquid level etc. by the time it takes for ultrasonic waves to be emitted and returned. Since the ultrasonic level meter can measure the liquid level without directly touching the liquid or solid, it can measure regardless of the properties and temperature of the liquid. In particular, it is not affected by density or conductivity, so it is characterized by extremely high-precision sensing. In addition, some devices support 4-20mA output, which contributes to the automation of equipment. In addition, there is a transmissive type that has a receiver installed on the other side, but it is not often used because it may be affected by the properties of the liquid.
Application of Ultrasonic level meter
The ultrasonic level meter is mainly installed on the top of the tank and used to measure the height to the liquid level. This is because if you know the height of the liquid level, you can know the amount of liquid. There are many other ways to measure the amount of liquid, but ultrasonic flowmeters do not require direct contact with the liquid and are therefore independent of the properties of the liquid. Therefore, even if the density of the liquid in the tank changes or the conductivity changes, it is possible to measure without problems. Many are used in chemical factories and food factories. In particular, since it does not come into direct contact with food, it can be used without problems even in plants where hygiene is required.
