What is a Diaphragm pressure gauge?
A diaphragm type pressure gauge is a pressure gauge in which a diaphragm is attached to the part that receives pressure. This diaphragm, which is called a diaphragm, allows pressure to be measured without directly touching the object to be measured. A liquid is sealed inside in a vacuum, and after receiving pressure through the diaphragm, the pressure is transmitted through this liquid and measured. There are various types of diaphragms, which can be changed according to the measurement target. This pressure gauge is suitable for measuring chemicals and highly viscous fluids that may be damaged if touched directly.
Application of Diaphragm pressure gauge
A diaphragm pressure gauge is used to measure the pressure of substances that are dangerous to the touch. For example, corrosive chemicals or strong acid solutions. If you measure with a normal pressure gauge, you will always touch them, and there is a risk that the pressure receiving part will be melted or damaged. In that respect, in the diaphragm type pressure gauge, the diaphragm called the diaphragm touches the measurement target. Since the pressure receiving part measures the pressure transmitted from the diaphragm through the liquid enclosed inside, it can be measured without the risk of corrosion. It is also used to measure flammable liquids such as petroleum. Electricity may be used for pressure measurement, so this is to prevent ignition in the unlikely event.
