What is a Modular connector?
Modular connectors can be removed with a single touch and are often used as connectors for interfaces. Also known as a modular jack or modular plug, it connects to a modular cable. It can be used for ADSL communication and LAN lines from telephone lines. Often refers to the female type, but the male type is sometimes called a modular connector. There is a claw-shaped part on the top of the male type, and if you connect it to the female type, the claws will not get caught. When pulling out, push the claw toward you and pull out.
Application of Modular connector
Modular connectors are used to connect lines for interfaces. There is a square exposed type and a type that is embedded as a panel in the wall, and you can use it according to your purpose. Since the size, shape, and performance differ depending on the standard, it may not be possible to connect properly if the standard is for a different purpose. For example, for home use, a 6-pole 2-core connector is often used for telephone lines, but the 8-pole 8-core used for LAN cables is rather large, and signal compatibility is not guaranteed.
