What is a BNC receptacle?

The BNC receptacle is used by connecting to the BNC plug connectors that are attached to both ends of the coaxial cable. A coaxial cable is a signal transmission cable that transmits signals in the megahertz band. The outside of the signal line in the center of the cable is doubly insulated, and the outside is protected by a coating such as vinyl. Generally, the BNC receptacle is used by mounting it on the panel surface (exposed surface) of the device or the board inside the device.

Application of BNC receptacle

The connection using a combination of a BNC plug connector and a receptacle is a very commonly used connection method called the bionet lock method, and the cable can be rotated in the longitudinal direction even after the connector and receptacle are connected, so for example, devices can be connected to each other. It is easy to make adjustments such as routing the coaxial cable even after connecting. It can be connected relatively easily by simply fitting the BNC plug connector and the receptacle while pushing and turning the internal spring without using screws, but the connection strength is high and it can be easily removed.
