What is a Inlet?
An inlet is an electrical inlet for an electronic device. There is also the word outlet as opposed to inlet. An outlet is a port into which a plug to which electricity is supplied is inserted. In Japanese households, it is generally called an outlet, and refers to a place where a 2-terminal or 3-terminal plug is inserted. When using an electronic device, you can supply power to the electronic device by connecting this outlet and inlet with a power cord. It is common for electronic devices to have no inlet and the power cord to come out as it is.
Application of Inlet
Since a power source is required for the operation of electronic devices and the inlet is the entrance to the power supply, the inlet is used as a common component in various electronic devices that use electricity. The IEC standard is also stipulated in IEC60320-1, which sets the technical standards for electrical equipment, and is a general standard part. The IEC stands for the International Electrotechnical Commission, an international standardization body that creates international standards in the fields of electrical and electronic technology.
