What is a SCARA robot?
A SCARA robot is a horizontal articulated industrial robot equipped with three axes of rotation that operate in the horizontal direction and one axis that operates in the vertical direction. Taking the acronym "selective compliance assembly robot arm", "SCARA type robot" is commonly called "SCARA robot". The characteristic of SCARA robots is that they focus on horizontal movement, so they are used for assembly work such as inserting and arranging parts and tightening screws, and contribute to the automation of production sites.
