What is a Leaf switch?

A leaf switch is a switch that conducts electricity by physically contacting two or three thin copper plates. It has ON-OFF or ON-ON function like other kinds of switches. Some leaf switches have bare contacts, while others have plastic covers. Both have a simple structure and a small number of parts, so if a contact failure occurs, it can be restored with simple maintenance such as polishing the contacts and applying a contact revitalizing agent.
