What is a Pressure switch?

A pressure switch is a type of sensor that detects the pressure of a fluid such as air or liquid. A switch can be operated depending on the magnitude of the absolute value of pressure, or the amount of change for an arbitrary pressure value. Pressure switch sensors include a semiconductor piezoresistive diffusion pressure sensor that detects pressure changes based on changes in the amount of current and voltage flowing through a built-in piezoelectric element, and a capacitive pressure sensor that has a built-in capacitor with a movable pole and detects pressure changes from changes in the capacitance of the capacitor due to external pressure.
