What is a Circuit breaker?
A circuit breaker is a device that automatically disconnects an electrical circuit in case of abnormal conditions such as overcurrent or short circuit. It is commonly used in power systems, industrial equipment, and household electrical circuits to protect circuits and ensure safety. When an anomaly occurs, the circuit breaker immediately interrupts the current to prevent damage to equipment and circuits. In normal operation, the circuit remains energized, and manual operation or reconnection is possible when needed. There are various types of circuit breakers, depending on their installation location and application.
Application of Circuit breaker
✅Household Distribution Board
A circuit breaker disconnects the electrical circuit in case of overcurrent, preventing fires or equipment damage.
✅Industrial Equipment
Used in large machinery circuits, automatically disconnecting the circuit when overload or short circuit is detected.
✅Power Supply Systems
Installed in power plants and substations, it disconnects power supply during overvoltage or anomalies to protect equipment.
✅Electric Vehicle Chargers
Interrupts the current when abnormalities occur during charging to ensure safety.
