What is a Photoelectric switch?

A photoelectric switch is a device that uses light to detect the presence or absence of an object and its surface shape. They are sometimes called photoelectric sensors, but contact output products are often called photoelectric switches. Most of the light used is visible light or infrared light. It features a long detection distance and few restrictions on substances to be detected.
