What is a Safety limit switch?

A safety limit switch is a limit switch that has a direct opening mechanism and is used when reliability is required to ensure the safety of machinery. It is mainly used as a sensor for the interlock device of production equipment. Unlike a normal limit switch, it does not lose its function as a limit switch even if the contacts inside the switch are shorted or welded due to the application of high voltage. Therefore, it is possible to realize a safer interlock device.
