A membrane switch is a switch that uses a "thin film" sheet, such as PET film, as a contact point on the circuit. Membrane switches are widely used as buttons for devices that require manual switch operation, such as home appliances and inspection equipment. Membrane switches have contacts on the switch circuit inside a sheet of membrane. By manually pressing the membrane, the switch is connected.
