What is a Button switch?

A button switch is a type of switch that is generally called a push button switch, and whose contacts are turned on and off by human operation. There are two types of button switches: automatic reset type and holding type. The former is a type of switch that turns ON (or OFF) only while the button is pressed, and turns OFF (or ON) at the moment the finger is released. The latter is a switch that turns ON (or OFF) when the button is pressed, and remains ON (or OFF) even after removing the finger from the button.
