What is a Load switch?
A load break switch is a device that opens and closes an electrical circuit through which a load current is flowing. Generally, it refers to products that switch high-voltage AC load currents. Furthermore, it often refers to LBS (Load Break Switch) among them. Disconnectors, circuit breakers, and load switches are devices that switch circuits on high-voltage lines. A disconnector is a device that cannot switch load current and is used for safety management during maintenance work. A circuit breaker is a device that can interrupt not only the load current but also the fault current at the time of a short circuit, and is widely used in the main power receiving equipment and power distribution. A load break switch can switch the load current, but it cannot interrupt the short circuit fault current. Generally, it is used together with a current-limiting fuse to protect the upper circuit from accidental current.
