What is a Enable switch?

An enable switch (UK: Enable Switch) is a switch that is incorporated in a teaching pendant for teaching industrial robots, etc., and plays the role of a safety device. Also known as Enabling Grip Switch, Enabling Switch, 3 Position, or 3-Position Enabling Switch. When the enable switch is ON, the operator is operating the teaching pendant with a clear intention.
