What is a Capacitor?
A capacitor is an electronic component used to temporarily store electrical energy. It consists of two conductive plates separated by an insulating material (dielectric), and when a voltage is applied, electrical charge accumulates. Capacitors store and release energy and are commonly used in electronic devices to stabilize power supply, as well as in filter circuits, timing circuits, and signal processing. In DC circuits, they charge over time, while in AC circuits, they release charge in response to current fluctuations, smoothing waveforms. The capacity of a capacitor is measured in farads (F), with larger capacitance allowing for more energy storage.
Application of Capacitor
1.Power stabilization: Used to stabilize power supply in electronic devices.
2.Filter circuits: Electrical circuits used to eliminate noise.
3.Timing circuits: Control timing delays and periodic operations.
