What is a Cross vise?
A cross vise is a tool that is used to firmly fix the workpiece and move it along the X and Y axes. Other names include "cross slide vise", "cross sliding vise", "two-axis slide cross vise", "cross flat table vise", "cross flat bench vise", "X-Y vise", and "2-way X-Y bench clamp". The difference from a simple vise is that the fixed material can be moved. Depending on the product, it is possible to accurately adjust the front, rear, left, and right positions with an accuracy of 0.001 mm. However, the cross vise can only be adjusted in the X and Y directions, so it cannot be adjusted in the vertical direction. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a height suitable for the intended use.
