アズレンとは

Azulene is a hydrocarbon compound classified as a sesquiterpene, known for its deep blue color. Its name derives from the Spanish word "azul," meaning blue. Structurally, it is similar to naphthalene but consists of a fused five-membered and seven-membered ring system, giving it unique aromatic properties. Naturally occurring in essential oils of plants like chamomile, azulene exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and analgesic effects.
