What is a Iron Fluoride (FeF₂ and FeF₃)?

Iron fluoride is a compound of iron and fluorine, commonly existing as ferrous fluoride (FeF₂) and ferric fluoride (FeF₃). These two forms exhibit distinct properties and are used in various industrial and electronic applications. Ferrous fluoride (FeF₂) is a pale-colored crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in water and used in reduction reactions.
