What is a Inner diameter clamp?
An inner diameter clamp is one of the jigs for machining. After centering a workpiece with a location hole, it is a clamping jig that fixes the workpiece from the inside with the wall of the hole. The mouthpiece of the clamp is divided into several parts, which are expanded by clamping to fix the inner diameter of the workpiece. By fixing only the inside of the workpiece, it is possible to avoid interference between the clamping jig and the processing tool, making it suitable for workpieces with many parts to be processed, multi-piece processing, and thin-walled parts. Clamp drive methods include manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic types, and handy, hand-tightened inner diameter clamps are often used. Since the work location hole is used for clamping, highly accurate positioning is possible.
