What is a Duracon Bush?
A DURACON bush is a bush molded from DURACON®. Utilizing the self-lubricating properties of DURACON®, it is used to support and fix shafts that rotate or linearly move. Compared to bearings (ball bearings), the advantages are cost, ease of installation, weight reduction, and space saving. DURACON® is a registered trademark of Polyplastics Co., Ltd. It is one of the engineering plastics called POM (polyacetal resin). Since it is a crystalline resin, it has a very small coefficient of friction and is self-lubricating.
