What is a Oil-free plate?
Among the bearing plates of machine tools, those with oil-free bearings that do not require lubrication are called oil-free plates. A plate that exhibits excellent wear resistance in locations where oil film formation is relatively difficult due to reciprocating motion, machine vibration, and frequent starts and stops. There are types with a solid lubricant embedded in a round recess, a plate material mixed with a solid lubricant, and a bearing plate that uses a material with a low coefficient of friction that can be used completely without lubrication.
