What is a Slide core?

A slide core is one of the parts used in molds. It is necessary when molding a shape that cannot be opened because the mold is caught as a shape when pulling out the mold called "undercut". In general, the more parts that are required, the higher the mold cost. Many plastic parts that have not undergone finishing treatments such as painting show traces of the mold of the slide core, so it can be a clue to understand the mold structure of the part.
