What is a Lifter pin?

A lifter pin is one of the component parts of a "lifter" that raises and lowers products and members, and is used in combination with springs to raise and lower workpieces. The lifter pin is installed in a hole that accommodates a spring and a screw plug that serves as its fixed base, and raises and lowers the workpiece on the other hand of the lifter pin. Therefore, the diameter of the hole where the lifter pin and spring are accommodated must be designed with consideration given to deflection and backlash.
