What is a Shield clamp?
A shield clamp is a jig that grips the shield part of a shielded cable and fixes it to the frame or rail of a machine or facility that is connected to the ground. It has the role of releasing the electricity of the shield to the ground and fixing the cable. A shielded cable is a cable that contains a mesh-like conductor tube made of ultra-fine wire between a signal cable called a core wire that transmits signals and a sheath that covers the outer circumference. Although there are various shapes, the most basic structure of coaxial cables consists of a copper wire (core wire), an insulator, a mesh-like conductor, and a coating from the center of the cable toward the outside. A mesh-shaped conductor is called a shield.
