What is a Spiral heat exchanger?
A spiral heat exchanger, as the name suggests, is a heat exchanger that uses a spiral shape. The characteristic is that the fluid becomes a vortex flow. From a chemical engineering point of view, the axial flow path has a wide cross-sectional area, which results in low pressure loss, and narrow flow path spacing enables heat exchange between fluids. A spiral flow path is more prone to turbulence than a round tube flow path in a shell and tube heat exchanger. Therefore, high thermal conductivity is obtained. The channel width can be changed flexibly, making it easy to design according to the conditions.
