What is a Capacitive proximity sensor?
Capacitive proximity sensor is a kind of non-contact type sensor that detects the presence or absence of an object. An object can be detected by the change in capacitance when the object enters an electric field. There are various substances that can be detected, such as metal, water, oil, glass, plastic, and paper. The contents can also be detected from the outside of the non-metal container. However, it should be noted that the detection sensitivity and distance differ depending on the size, thickness, and non-dielectric constant of the object, and that it is easily affected by water and humidity.
Application of Capacitive proximity sensor
Capacitive proximity sensors are used for "detection of contents from outside the container" and "non-contact switch". "Detection of contents from outside the container" can detect liquid, paper, glass, and wood on the back of the wall, inside the tank, inside the container, and behind the cover. It is mainly used for inspection and confirmation of contents.
