What is a Tungsten electrode?

A tungsten electrode is a type of electrode used primarily in arc welding and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. Tungsten has an extremely high melting point (approximately 3422°C), which gives it excellent heat resistance and wear resistance. As a result, tungsten electrodes are stable and reliable in high-temperature environments during welding. They play a crucial role in conducting electricity during the welding process, providing electrical current to the welding metal. Additionally, tungsten electrodes are chemically stable, meaning they are less likely to degrade or become contaminated during welding, ensuring high-quality welds. Application of Tungsten electrode
